Winifred June Sanders

Winifred June Sanders, 90, of Urbana, died at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 15, 2013 in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana. She was born in Urbana, Ohio on September 20, 1922, the daughter of Clarence Edward and Edna Mabel (Cox) Wade. June was a retired library staff member, a member of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany in Urbana and a member of the Better Garden Club. She is survived by daughters, Pamela and James Pullins of Gettysburg, PA and Catherine and David Cramer of Jackson, CA, sons, Michael Lee “Mick” Sanders of Huntington Beach, CA and Patrick Riley and Sue (Patrick) Sanders of Nellysford, VA., eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. June was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Leon in 1984, infant daughter, son, Robert Lynn Sanders, and sisters, Thelma Frost and Bonnie Latimer. Family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 in WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Kingscreek Cemetery with Rev. Nancy Hardin officiating.
