Wilbur "Jr." Wray

Wilbur Jr. Wray, 86, of Urbana, died at 8:15 A.M., Sunday, May 25, 2014 in Vancrest of Urbana. He was born April 2, 1928 in St. Paris, OH, a son of Wilbur C. and Clara (Cost) Wray. Jr., a 1946 Urbana Local School graduate, retired from the City of Urbana in 1993. He was a member of the Urbana Freewill Baptist Church, and he loved bowling and fishing. Survivors include his wife, Helen (Watson); son Gary L. Wray of Urbana; step daughters Sheryl (Karl) Zerkle of St. Paris, Jean (Steve) Strickland of Urbana, Teresa (Keith) Wall of Bellefontaine, Marcia (Bobby) Cole of Springfield, Kathy Crego Reviea-Couch of Troy, Rose Crego of Miamisburg; step sons, Dennis (Marcella) Crego of Urbana, David (Candi) Crego, Myrtle Beach SC, Dan (Tina) Crego of Troy, 2 grandchildren; 43 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; 6 step great grandchildren and 6 step great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Peggy in 1991; daughter, Janie Sue James; step great granddaughter, Torre Horsley. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M Wednesday, May 28, 2014 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana where the services will be held at 11:00 A.M Thursday, May 29, 2014, with Pastors Grant Kenneth Cordell and Del Wallace officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mutual. Pallbearers will be Bill Mullins, Brent Zerkle, Barry Zerkle, Bobby Cole, Aaron Reviea, Jerod Reviea and Jerome Armstrong.
