Vicki L. Schliesser

Vicki Schliesser, 67, of Springfield, formerly of Urbana, died on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 in her residence. She was born on December 16, 1946 in Bryan, OH, the daughter of Robert D. and Mary A. (Steinbarger) Baker. Vicki was a graduate of Fairview High School in Defiance County. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. Survivors include her children, Angela Beamont of Springfield, Anthony Schliesser and wife Shelley of St. Albans, WV and Cindy Hennig and husband Jeff of Springfield; grandchildren, Deann Johnson and husband Mark, Brad Beamont, Brittney Wilson, Kyle Wilson, Taylor Schliesser, Sydney Schliesser, Justin Hennig and Joey Hennig; a great-granddaughter, Rylee Wilson; a sister, Barbara Garver and husband Don of Bryan, OH; and a brother, Don Baker and wife Cindy of Rio Rico, AZ. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Ronald J. Schliesser on November 18, 2011. At her request, she will be cremated and there will be no public services. The family is being served by WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana. Contributions in Vickis memory may be made to a charity of the givers choice.
