Shirley R. (Mayberry) Woods

Shirley (Mayberry) Woods made her way to Heaven Wednesday, July 6, 2022. Shirley was born to Robert Benjamin and Bertha Ethel Mayberry November 19, 1935.

Shirley married Ralph Eugene Woods August 16, 1957. They were parents to Tony, Cindy (Jerry) Horsley, Sandy (Nick) Caporaso, Terry Woods, and Thom (Ashley) Woods. Shirley had 6 grandchildren; Jeremy and Krista Horsley, Erin (Tony) Armentrout, Tina (fiance Danny) Caporaso, and Connor, Luke, and Kerris Woods, 4 great-grandchildren; Aaron, Cody (fiance Dannie), Lyndzee, and Miranda, a special daughter-in-law, Kelley Woods, and several nieces and nephews.

Shirley was a great caretaker of many. She babysat for all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as several children who she loved like her own. She loved to sew, read, work puzzles, and play cards. She was a loyal Cincinnati Reds and Ohio State Buckeyes Fan. More than anything, Shirley loved her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were most precious to her. She will be greatly missed.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the Maple Grove Cemetery- North Lewisburg, Ohio. Arrangements in the care of the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana. Online condolences may be left for the family by visiting www.walterfunerals.com.
