Shelly Beth Garvey

GARVEY, Shelly Beth age 57 of Urbana passed away at home due to failing health on Friday, April 24, 2020.  She was born on June 21, 1962 to the late Donald E. and Roberta M. (McClain) Ferryman in Urbana.  In addition to her parents, Shelly is preceded in death by her former spouse, Gary Garvey and her brother, Gary L. Ferryman.  She is survived by her daughter, April (Richard Chess) Ferryman; son, Ty Laney; step-daughters, Amy Garvey and Laura Duncan; sisters, Theresa Evilsizor and Donna (Bill) Walter. Shelly also leaves behind grandchildren: Dazie Chess, Alexandra Miller, Kayleigh Garvey, Dylan Duncan, Abigail Duncan, Brooklyn (Steven) Hughes, and Alisha (Tommy) Chess; great-grandchildren: Lilie Grim, Bexlie Hughes, Clover Hughes and Nova Hughes as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  Shelly was member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was deeply devoted to her faith.  She worked briefly at Big Lots and Goodwill and loved painting and art.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Walter & Lewis Funeral Home.
