Sarah Jane Tasy

Sarah Jane Tasy, 80, of Urbana, died on Thursday, December 17, 2015 in her residence. She was born on August 25, 1935 in Cable, OH, a daughter of the late Asa and Mary (Vermillion) Keeran, Sr. Sarah was a lifetime member of Grace Baptist Church and a 1954 graduation of Urbana High School. She had been employed by Botkins Flowers, retired from Drackett and enjoyed crocheting. Survivors include granddaughters, Nichole (Dennis) Courtaway of Urbana and Andrea (Jason) Huffman of Urbana; great-grandchildren, Xavier Williams, Sarah Williams, Chloe Williams and Stephen Williams; honorary great-grandchild, Xavier Sanders; great grand dog, Lilly; brothers, Charles Keeran of North Lewisburg, Roy (Zetti) Keeran of West Liberty and Richard (Sarah) Keeran of Urbana; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeanette Ann Huffman; husband, Gabriel Lawrence Tasy; brother, Asa Keeran Jr.; sisters, Geneva Shaffer and Della Wasserman; and great-granddaughter, Mayann Courtaway. The family wishes to thank Shirley for her home health services. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Aaron Samples officiating.
