Sarah Anne Crist

Sarah A. Crist, 66, of Urbana, died on Thursday, March 19, 2015 in the Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on July 31, 1948 in Urbana, OH, the daughter of William and Frances (Brittin) Delaney. Sarah was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, received her bachelors degree from Wittenberg University and Masters in Education from Xavier University. She was a teacher for Urbana City Schools for over 30 years. Sarah had a love for horses and raised many of them throughout her life. Survivors include her husband, Gary Crist; 2 sons, Andy Crist and his wife Megan of Urbana and Kevin Crist; 2 sisters, Barbara (Alan) Keirn of Urbana and Brenda (Jerry) Riley of Urbana; sister-in-law, Deborah Crist of Galloway; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents. The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2015.
