Ruth Stamper

Ruth Stamper (Ma Stamper) of Urbana, passed away on Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
Ruth owned the Family Table Restaurant from 1971 to 1998, when she retired.
Born to John and Georgia Egbert on November 16, 1935, she married John R. Stamper Sr. on March 7, 1953.
She is survived by three children, Mr. John R. Stamper Jr. (Cindy) of Urbana, Mrs. Ruth McClain (Don) of Tennessee, and Mrs. Juanita DuVall (Mick) of Florida; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Egbert and James Egbert; and sisters, Diann Freeman, Patricia Kiser, Georgia Jones and Faith Yust.
She was preceded in death by her father; mother; husband; son, Dorman Stamper; daughter, Sue Waller; grandson, Brandon; five brothers; and two sisters.
Family will receive friends from 3-6 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018 in the WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 5, 2018 with Pastor Tony Peña officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
