Ruth Ann Bailey

Ruth Ann Bailey, born September 3, 1942, in Urbana, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on February 22, 2025, surrounded by her family. Ruth was the beloved daughter of Leslie Floyd Allison and Hazel Dora (Roach) Allison, and grew up with a large family that included six sisters and one brother.

Ruth dedicated her life to caring for others, a calling that led her to enjoy a meaningful career as a home health aide. She also worked in food service for Urbana University, where she became known for her warm and caring nature. Her family was her whole life, and she took great pride in nurturing those she loved.

Ruth's steadfast involvement in her community was exemplified by her commitment to attending Kennard Church of the Nazarene, where she raised her children and instilled in them the values she cherished. The light of her life shone brightly in the form of her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy. She cherished her role as a grandmother and took delight in spending time with her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Ruth is survived by her daughters, Carrie (Ken) McPherson and Lisa (Lou) Seman; her sons, David (Kathleen) Williams Jr., Cain Bailey, and Nicholas Bailey; her sister, Jean Boysel; and her beloved niece and caregiver, Darla (Augie) Sciarabba. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Ruth's life touched many, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on March 5, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, both to be held at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home.

Ruth Ann Bailey will be remembered for her unwavering love and dedication to her family, and her spirit will forever remain a source of inspiration to those she leaves behind.
