Ruth Ann Coccaro

Ruth Ann (Hannah) Coccaro, age 74, passed away on November 27, 2021 in Urbana, Ohio. Ruth was born on April 12, 1947 in Urbana, Ohio to the late George Stanton and Josephine Mildred (Fryant) Hannah. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her in-laws, Mike and Dora Coccaro, foster son, Paul Loffing, grandparents; Blanche and Pearl Fryant, Lon and Gladis Hannah, and Andrew and Barbara Brown, and brother-in-law, Larry Maksymowicz. Ruth is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, John Coccaro, son, Robert Culp, siblings; Jane (Alan) Bollinger, Bill Hannah, and John Hannah, sister-in-law, Marie Maksymowicz., nephews; Mark (Crystal) Bollinger, Matthew Bollinger, and Jeff (Aimee) Hatcher, niece, Sharyl Maksymowicz, cousin, Sandy Boibk, great-nephew, Quentin Bollinger, great-nieces; Sidney and Sammie Hatcher, and special friends; Ken (Theresa) Jarboe and their children; Noah and Kaitlin.

Ruth was a 1965 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church. In her freetime, she enjoyed reading, scrapbooking, working on the house with John, playing computer games, planting flowers, working in her garden, and going on vacation. She loved doing things for others. She worked in MRDD for many years, in particular, helping with the special olympics. Most importantly, Ruth loved her family dearly.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 2, 2021 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. at Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana.
