Russell "Russ" W. Robison

Russell “Russ” W. Robison, 88, of Urbana, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2016 in Mercy Memorial Hospital, Urbana.
He was born April 5, 1928 in Urbana, OH, a son of Thaddeus H. and Josephine L. (Whiteside) Robison. Russ worked for 40 years at Kirby Hatcheries and 10 years at Western & Southern Life. He was the former vice president of the Ohio Poultry Association, a member for over 60 years of the Masons Harmony Lodge No. 8 and a member of Urbana Chapter RAM. Russ enjoyed fishing, bowling, golf and traveling and was an avid fan of Ohio State, Cincinnati Bengals and especially the Cincinnati Reds.
Survivors include his wife, Mary F. (Dunn) Robison of Urbana, who he married on July 7, 1949; son-in-law, Gary Brandeberry of Urbana; grandchildren, Elyse Brandeberry and Haley Brandeberry, both of Florida; sisters, Doris (Eileen) Donahoe of Urbana and Judy Horsley of Urbana; brother, Roger Robison of Urbana; sister-in-law, Connie Robison; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Mindi Jo (Robison) Brandeberry; and siblings, Ralph Robison, Norma Thomas and Wilma Wood.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2016 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a Masonic service will be held at 5:45 p.m., followed by a Memorial Service at 6 p.m.
