Ross Anthony Nathaniel Hooten, 28, of Urbana, died on Sunday, January 25, 2015 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born on June 18, 1986 in Indianapolis, IN, and was self-employed in construction. Ross loved being with his children and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Heidi (Shoemaker) Hooten of Urbana; mother, Lisa Courter of Urbana; daughters, Khloe Hooten and Aiislynn Hooten; stepdaugthers, Meegan McClorey, Mattison McClorey and Lainey McClorey; sons, Mason Miller Hooten, Peirson Ward Travis and Trenton Hooten; grandmother, Kay Kimbler; sister, Ozlin Hooten of Urbana; and brothers, Shaun Hooten and Brandon Hooten, both of Urbana. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, George Courter; stepdaughter, Alexis Jacoby; and aunt, Teresa Temple. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Doug Hauser officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana. Memorial contributions may be made to WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME to help with expenses.
