OBITUARY FOR ROSA VERA FINCH Rosa Vera Finch, 87 of Urbana, died at 1:20 P.M. Saturday, November 22, 2014 in Vancrest of Urbana. She was born May 10, 1927 in Harlow Essex, England, a daughter of Hubert Charles and Winifred (Bonney) Champion. Rosa was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church. She worked as a waitress for 15 years at the Kerndeen Inn, Springfield and at Ethels Flowers for 9 years. She enjoyed knitting and caring for people. Survivors include sons William (Sarah) Finch of Urbana, Larry Finch of Lakeview; grandchildren, David (Dawn) Finch, Jon (Debbie) Finch, Nick (Rachel) Finch all of Urbana, Ashley (Shawn) Taylor of Berea, OH, Michelle Finch of West Liberty, Josetta of Columbus, Annette Finch of Urbana; 11 great grandchildren; sister Isabel May Beggs of Newark, OH and a brother William C. Champion Preceded in death by her parents, husband, Joseph A. Finch on July 2, 1991, whom she married on September 23, 1945, a son Michael on September 28, 2008, and a sister Mary Wiley. The family will receive friends from noon -2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where the services will be held at 2:00 P.M. with Father Larry Gearhart officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery.
