Ronald Lloyd Hill
“Each new life, no matter how brief, forever changes the world.” -Unknown
Ronald Hill & Chetaun Nooks welcomed a baby boy on July 19, 1982. They called him Ronnie, named affectionately after his father and his Grandpa Lloyd Wendell Hill. 4-year-old Che-Ron Hill was bubbling over with joy at the chance to be a BIG SISTER, and his grandparents Alvin Sr. & Joyce Nooks and Wendell & Corolia Hill were more than ready to spoil their first grandson.
Sadly, on August 6, 1982, baby Ronnie departed this life at only 18 days old. To cherish his memory, he left his loving parents, doting big sister, and grandparents. In addition, great-grandmother Jesse Gunn, his aunts: Karen, Sharon and Sondra (Kay) Hill, his uncles, Wendell and Timothy Hill, and finally his one-day-old first cousin Rashaun (Shonnie) Hafford.
Since Ronnie’s passing, he has gained even more relatives to cherish his memory. His niece and nephew: DeAnte’ and Amari Mattison, a brother-in-law Dionte’ Mattison, a stepmother Dr. Seika Hill, and more cousins on the infamous “Grandkids Wall” at Granny & Grandpa’s house. Shianne, Joshua, Brittany, Kellen, Jordan, Cain and Millea. Since his passing, his grandparents, great grandmother and his first cousin Jordan DeArmond have joined him in Heaven.
Ronnie was originally laid to rest at Terrance Cemetery in Post, Texas, but his father’s dream and final promise to baby Ronnie was to bring him “home” to Urbana, Ohio. After 40 years, this dream is finally coming true. Ronnie is being transferred to his final resting place: a plot at Oak Dale Cemetery in Urbana Ohio, which just so happens to be next to his Granny, Corolia Hill. We honor the short life of baby Ronnie with sadness and longing for the life he could have lived, but also with great love, and profound gratitude for the impact his short life has had on us all.
There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world. Together with his parents, Ronnie’s family will have a private ceremony to honor him and reflect on the imprint his short life has had on all who loved him.
