Ronald Eugene Carroll

Ronald E. Carroll, 69, of St. Paris, died on Wednesday, April 30, 2014 in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born on January 5, 1945 in Beaumont, TX, the son of Eugene and Geneva (Meadors) Carroll. Ronald was a 1963 graduate of Piqua High School, served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, was a member of the DAV of Urbana and retired from Copeland in Sidney. Survivors include a daughter, Bethann Anway of Covington; a son David and his wife Mendi of St. Paris; 6 grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Zac, Darren, Ava and Elizabeth; 3 great-grandchildren, Astaria, Kayleigh and Brooklyn; sister, Verona Susie Blosser and husband Steve of Urbana; brothers, Donald Carroll and wife Linda of Fletcher and Randy Carroll and wife Vicki of London; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Laine Lickliter, Sue Miller and Elizabeth Inman for all the great care and help they provided. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Julia (Blosser) on May 8, 2011. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, May 4, 2014 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2014, with Rev.
