Robert "Bob" C. Channell

Robert “Bob” C. Channell, 89, of Cable, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Vancrest of Urbana.
He was born on May 3, 1927 in the same house that he called home for 88 years in Cable, OH, a son of Thomas J. and Laura (Fitzgibbon) Channell. He married Martha “Jane” (Oelker) on December 31, 1951. Bob was a life-long farmer and a hard worker. He loved laughter and playing Euchre with friends and his family.
Survivors include his wife, Martha J. “Jane” Channell; children, Sally (Joe) Halterman of Urbana, Jeff (LuAnn) Channell of Cable and Karen (Gary) Markin of Cable; 6 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Don, Frank, Harold and John; and a sister, Lucille.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, June 20, 2016 in the Walter & Stowe Funeral Home, Urbana, where a service will be held at Noon with Rev. Tim West officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
