Richard Eugene Ratcliff

Richard Eugene Ratcliff, age 77, passed away on August 24, 2022 in Springfield, Ohio. Richard was born on May 29, 1945 in Ross County, Ohio to the late Lloyd and Goldie (Pennington) Ratcliff. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers; Ernie, Don, and Bill Ratcliff, sister, Helen Sloane, and daughter, Misty Dawn Ratcliff. Richard is survived by his 3 children; Scott (Amy) Ratcliff, Kimberly Robb, and Katina Fultz, grandchildren; Colton Fultz, Bryan Fultz, Ashley Sandoval, Vanessa Cauley, Breaan Cauley, Jacob Ratcliff, and James Werner, great-grandchildren; Wintson and Waylon Fultz, Nicoli Evans, Ayla, Carma, and Hayden Cauley, and Aziyah and Junior Sandoval, sisters; Jane Petty and Linda Tackett, nieces and nephews; Vicky, Connie, Cindy, Terry, Dicky, Barb, Amy, and Carrie, and many other family members.

Richard was the kind of person that would help anyone in need as much as he could. He was also a handyman that could do just about anything. Richard enjoyed art/painting, woodworking and working outside, especially in his garden or with his flowers. He was picky about his flowers and liked to keep everything tidy. He loved the hills of Kentucky and his mom’s home in Kentucky. Richard also worked for International Harvester/Navistar for +30 years before his retirement.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 29, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 p.m., at the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Jacob Hayward. Richard will be laid to rest at Kings Creek Cemetery.
