Richard "Dick" F. Henry

Richard F. Dick Henry, 79, of Urbana, died on Monday, September 16, 2013 in his residence. He was born on April 8, 1934 in Clark County, the son of Francis and Mary (Brown) Henry. He was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School and attended the University of Findlay where he played on the football team. Dick retired from the City of Urbana in 1994 after 20 years of service and also owned the Henry Insurance Agency. Dick contributed weather information to the Urbana Daily Citizen for a number of years. He also enjoyed sports and watching television. Survivors include his wife, Nancy (Potts) who he married on September 8, 1956, sons, Ron Henry of Urbana and Rick Henry and his wife Robin of West Liberty, grandchildren, Keara Henry and Jillian Henry, a sister, Janet Robinson of Mechanicsburg, a host of sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Wayne Robinson. The family will receive friends from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, September 20, 2013 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, where a service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Conrad Esh officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
