Rebecca Runkle

Rebecca Runkle, 77, of Urbana, died at 9:39 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013 in Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on May 4, 1935 in Malakoff, TX, the daughter of Jesus Maria Benavides and Florencia DeLuna. She was a graduate of Urbana High School, a member of First Baptist Church in Urbana and retired from Grimes Manufacturing where she was a member of the Quarter Century Club. Survivors include a son, Matthew Runkle and his wife Glenda of Urbana, daughter, Deborah Sue Runkle Bailey and her husband Charles “Butch” of West Liberty, brother Hiliaro of Florida, sister Juana of Urbana, four grandchildren, Lesley Nicole (Bailey) Neeld (Noel), Adam Chester Bailey, Evan Elizabeth Bailey and Jeremiah Emerson Runkle, and two great-grandchildren, Bailey Nichole Dillick and Gabriel Thomas Dillick. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Florencio, Joel and Ezekeuel, and sisters, Ester, Abigail and Raquel. Family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 in WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana, where a service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Rev.
