Rebecca Anne Jacobs

Rebecca Anne (Cauley) Jacobs, 60, of Mechanicsburg, departed this life at 9:45 a.m. on April 28, 2016 in Mercy McAuley Center, Urbana. She was born September 5, 1955 to the late Marjorie and Donald Cauley. Survivors include a son, Mathew Jacobs and his wife Vanessa; granddaughters, Haylie, Tori and Chloe Jacobs; sisters, Mary Cauley and Terri Disbennett, Irene Cauley and Jim Short, Paula Cauley and David Clapp; brothers, Don and Joyce Cauley and Joe and Susie Cauley; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Anyone who knew Becky knew she was happiest and most content in the Old House on Three Mile Road, Urbana, which she shared with her life companion, the late Mr. Wayne Randall. Becky was a 1973 Triad High School graduate, a graduate of Clark State College with a bachelors in Law Enforcement, and a graduate of Urbana College with an Associate Degree in Education. She did her student teaching and tutoring at Graham Elementary, Miami East Elementary and Riverside Elementary schools. Her love for teaching children continued as Activity Director at Camp Fire Camp Shawano at Kiser Lake, Peace School in Clark County and Vacation Bible School in Mechanicsburg. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Mercy McAuley Deer View, Mercy Hospice nurses and volunteers. Every one of you were special to Becky in your own way and we (family) cannot thank you enough. And a very special thank you to Dr. Bo and his special nurse and friend Charity. Because of Beckys love for children, the family asks you to make donations in her name to Urbana Backpack Program, St. Judes Childrens Hospital and Community Mercy Hospice.
