Paul Douglas Farmer, was born on July 15, 1955, in Urbana, Ohio and despite facing intellectual disabilities from birth, he never let anything hinder him from living life to the fullest. Paul's infectious smile and engaging character were evident in all aspects of his life. One of the fondest memories shared by his loved ones was when he traveled to Florida and enjoyed walking along the beach. It was during this trip that a mischievous seagull swooped down and stole his hot dog. Paul found humor in the situation chased the seagull down and embraced it as yet another adventurous chapter of his life. He attended Lawnview Workshop where he gained valuable skills and formed cherished friendships. Basketball was one of Paul's passions, and he proudly represented Lawnview on the court. His positive spirit inspired those around him and served as a testament to the power of resilience. Described as "onery" by his family, Paul had a unique sense of humor that brought joy to everyone who knew him. With a mischievous glimmer in his eye, he would often exclaim, "hahaha, pooey on you. I don't care what you say." These playful words exemplified his lightheartedness and genuine authenticity. His love for music and dancing knew no bounds either; it was not uncommon to see him grooving to the beat with a contagious enthusiasm. The electric guitar he received as a Christmas gift was one of his most treasured possessions and provided countless hours of joyous melodies. Surrounded by his loving family, Paul passed away peacefully on August 27, 2023. He joined his dear parents, Paul and Elizabeth (Fox) Farmer and his brothers, William and Cecil Farmer who passed away before him. Paul's lives on through his surviving sisters, Deb (Darrell) Wilkins and Sue (Jay) Bailey, as well as his sister-in-law, Sherry Farmer.
