Otto Jackson "Jack" Pence, passed away peacefully at 10:35p.m. on February 15, 2022. He was born on May 5, 1957, in Urbana, Ohio, the son of Denver Pence and Thelma (Hayslip) Frazier.
Jack graduated in 1975 from Urbana High School. He worked at Hobart (PMI) in West Liberty for for over 20 years. While living in West Liberty he helped his brother-in-law on his farm as well as many of the local farmers.
He moved back to Urbana and worked in janitorial at the Honeywell facilities for 15 years. He retired in July of 2021 due to health issues.
Jack enjoyed all of the friends he made over the years . He also had a love for classic cars.
He is survived by a son, Tyler J. (Darian) Pence of Urbana; daughter, April J. Pence of Mechanicsburg; grandchildren, Jackson Pence, Shanna, Denver and Fred Caudill; sister-in-law, Kimra Pence; nieces, Brooke and Megan Pence; nephew, Ricky Shepard; great-nieces, Shelby Shepard and Bailey Feasel; great-nephews, Aiden Witt and Harley Shepard as well as many other special nieces and nephews.
He's preceded in death by his parents; step-dad, Jack Frazier; brother, Denny Pence; sister, Jeannie Kitchen; his son, Shannon Pence; nieces, Angela and Jacqueline; and nephew Jeff.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 from 11a.m.-1p.m. at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home with service beginning at 1p.m. Inurnment will follow at Kings Creek Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to his family by visiting www.walterfunerals.com.
