Opal Church

Opal Church, 78, of Urbana, died at 7:35 A.M. Thursday, July 05, 2012 in Riverside Hospital, Columbus. She was born November 11, 1933 in Ulysis, KY a daughter of Samuel and Tealie (Borders) Lyons. Opal retired from Midland Ross Grimes Division with over 35 years of service. She loved spending time with her beloved dog Rusty, and feeding all the neighborhood cats. Survivors include her daughters, Patty Wilt and her husband Ray of Bellefontaine, Sandy Fraley and her husband Rod of Mechanicsburg, and Lisa Crouse and her husband Roger of Woodstock, GA, son, Mike Church and his wife Mary Kay of Madison, WI, grandchildren, Catherine Church Noe, Christopher Church, Craig Church and his wife Steffy, Matt Wilt, Tyler Church, Justin Fraley and his wife Holly, David Fraley and his wife Caitlynn and Kevin Fraley and his wife Jordan, 6 great grandchildren and brother, Hubert Lyons of Sandusky. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orville Church, Sr. in 1971, whom she married on July 16, 1955, sisters, Jennie and Zelph, brothers, Mitchell, Walter, Florida and Arnold and half brother, Bert. The family will receive friends 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. Sunday, July 8, 2012 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main Street, Urbana where funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. Monday, July, 9, 2012 with Rev. Jim Lillibridge officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.
