Nola Eileen Miller, 87, of Urbana, died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born November 13, 1925 in Independence, MO, the daughter of Kenneth and Ethel (Collins) McBride. Nola was a longtime horse rancher and graduate of William McKinley High School in Independence, MO and Graceland College. She volunteered for the Assistance League of Arizona. Nola was a lifetime Presbyterian having belonged to the First Presbyterian Church of Urbana for many years, St. John on the Desert, Tucson, AZ and most recently a member of Christ Presbyterian in Tucson, AZ. Survivors include sons, Stephen (Sissel) Miller of Lincoln City, OR and Bryan Miller of Denver, CO, daughter-in-law, Linda Miller of Urbana, 13 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin K. “Bud” Miller, son, Michael K. (March 8, 2011), grandson, Michael Miller (1980) and granddaughter, Julianna. The family will receive friends from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 642 S. Main St., Urbana where a service will be held at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Kevin Horrigan officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Urbana.
