Nelson "Rusty" Rhodes

RHODES, Nelson M. "Rusty" age 79 of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 12, 2024. He was born on September 16, 1944 to the late Nelson E. and Helen (Martin) Rhodes in Urbana, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Rusty was preceded in death by his brother, Doug Rhodes. He leaves behind his cousins: Linda (Ivan) Thackery, Susan (Vern) Williams and Allan (Garnett) Hess. Rusty proudly served in the United States Air Force. He worked for over 30 years and retired from Andersen Window Company. In his younger years he enjoyed playing golf, and absolutely loved sailing on Lake Michigan. Rusty will be laid to rest in Oak Dale cemetery.
