Nancy D. Roads

Nancy D. Roads, age 90, of Urbana, Ohio, passed away peacefully Thursday, January 2, 2025, in Fairhope, Alabama, surrounded by family she cherished. Nancy was born on January 9, 1935, in Columbus, Ohio, to Christopher and Mary Turner Dillon. Her family moved to a small farm outside Urbana, Ohio, where she was raised and discovered her dedication to hard work and her love for animals — especially dogs and horses.

Nancy was a tenacious woman who tackled projects that most would deem impossible. She delighted in teasing and joking with those she loved, and her laughter was a constant source of joy. She cherished close relationships and found happiness in the company of those who loved her.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents and youngest daughter, Deb Harless (Tim) Helfrich. She is survived by her oldest daughter, Kim (Joe) Love; sister, Sue (Gary) Cook; four grandchildren, Michelle Love (Matt) Chambless, Meredith Love (Matt) Petka, Carly Harless (Bobby) Camilleri, Christopher Harless; and five great-grandchildren.
