Morris E. Sine

Morris E. Sine, 76, of Urbana, passed away on August 16, 2015 in his residence. He was born on December 25, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio, a son of Oliver Curly and Dorothy (Morris) Sine. Morris served in the Air Force, worked for Champion Papers in Piqua for 8 years and then retired from Ohio Bell/AT&T after 38 years of service. He attended First Christian Church in Urbana and was involved with the Champaign Cruisers. Morris was a fun-loving man who loved cars, fishing and playing golf. He will be missed by his many friends. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy (Finnegan) Sine who he married on August 13, 1957; 3 sons, Rick (Kay) Sine of Urbana, Steve (Melissa) Sine of Urbana and Scott Sine of Chicago; 2 grandchildren, Donald Sine of Columbus and Matthew Sine of Urbana; 2 sisters, Linda Sue Birkhold of Dublin and Jean Ann Denser of Canal Winchester; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Allen Sine. The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Thursday, August 20, 2015 in the First Christian Church, corner of Orange and Hagenbuch, Urbana, where a service will be held at 5 p.m. with Rev. Mike Stewart officiating. Inurnment to be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
