Michael Wayne New

Michael Wayne New, age 70, went to be with his Lord on January 6, 2022 after bravely battling a long illness.

He was born on December 10, 1951 to the late Andrew Calvin and Hattie Louise New. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Russell Edwin New.

He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Barbara New and his loyal dog, Bam-Bam. He is also survived by his children; Chris New, Tammy New, and Travis New, stepchildren, Tonya King and Anthony Wilson, sisters, Virginia Kimbler and Betty Todd, several loving nieces and nephews, as well as many wonderful grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Walter and Lewis Funeral home. 642 S. Main St. Urbana, Ohio 43078. Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 from 3:00-5:00pm. The funeral service will begin at 5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Disabled American Veterans in Mike’s honor.
