Mary Frances Dobbins

Mary Frances Dobbins, 48, of Urbana, died at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, December 23, 2013 in Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield. She was born on July 13, 1965 in Hillsboro, OH, the daughter of Charles Marvin and Martha Jane (Norris) Whiting. Mary was a 1983 graduate of Wilmington High School and worked as office manager at Dayton Physicians in Englewood. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Lynchburg where she sang in the choir, and then moved to Urbana and joined Grace Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School. Mary enjoyed sewing, cooking and socializing, always spread goodness wherever she went and never met a stranger. Survivors include her husband, Charles Russell Russ Dobbins of Urbana; her mother, Martha Wait of Hillsboro; 3 sons, Stephen Henize of Richmond, KY, Erick Henize of Mason, OH, and Benjamin Henize of Lynchburg, OH; a stepdaughter, JoEllen Musselman and husband Luke of Philadelphia, PA; a stepson, John Dobbins and wife Holly of Washington; 2 grandchildren, Lillian Grace Henize and Harper JoAnna Henize; 3 sisters, Georgie Miller and husband Paul of Lynchburg, Pam Keaton and husband Andy of Lynchburg, and Sally Alegria and husband Daniel of Corpus Christi, TX; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father in April 2010. The family will receive friends from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, December 28, 2013 at Grace Baptist Church, 960 Childrens Home Road, Urbana, where a service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Aaron Samples officiating. Burial will follow in the New Vienna I.O.O.F. Cemetery, New Vienna, OH, with Pastor Samples and Pastor Robert Miller officiating over a graveside service.
