Mark Twain Moody

Mark Twain Moody, age 83 of Urbana, Ohio passed away February 10, 2024 in Palatka, Florida at the Haven Hospice Care Center. He was born October 10, 1940 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Edgar and Carrie Pearl (Eubanks) Moody. Along with his parents, Mark was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis (Boldman) Moody, siblings: David, Marilyn, Robert, and John “Jack” Moody, sisters-in-law, Leah Moody and Joyce Moody, and nieces, Sheryl Lynn Smith and Joyce Daniels. Mark is survived by his step-son, Gary (Kim) Martin, grandchildren, Vanessa (Daniel) Scantlin and Cierra Martin, great-grandchildren, Kayman, Madi, Jacob, and Lyla, brothers, Harold (Inis Diane) Moody and Jonathan Moody, numerous nieces, nephews, great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews who loved him very much, and his dog, Crawl. Special thank you to his loving great-niece, Jessica, for her dedicated love and support. Mark faithfully served our nation in the United States Army. Following his time in the service, Mark worked for Drackett Company. Mark served as a pastor for over 40 years at the House of Prayer Church. Mark’s favorite things were visiting his brothers and spending time with his grandkids. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the Walter and Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana.
