Marjorie Lee Kelch

Marjorie Lee Kelch (nee Botkin) 92, of Urbana, passed away on Thursday, December 28, at Vancrest of Urbana.
Marjorie was born April 14, 1925. A lifelong Urbana resident, she was the daughter of Jesse and Marguerite (Perfect) Botkin. She was a 1943 graduate of Urbana High School, where she met the love of her life, Orland (Bud) Kelch.
They wed on February 17, 1946, and were married for more than 70 years until Bud’s death in August, 2016. For more than 20 years, she and Bud operated OK Automotive Supply on North Main Street.
She was very active at Urbana Country Club where she enjoyed golfing with Bud and with many friends. Marjorie was also an active member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She and Bud enjoyed travelling with family, especially to Sebring, Florida and the Florida Keys. She enjoyed playing cards (especially bridge) and watching Cincinnati Reds baseball and Ohio State University Football.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She is survived by her three sons: David (Maggie) of Grafton, OH; Kyle (Nancy) of Urbana and Jeffrey (Anna) of Barrington, IL.
She especially treasured the time that she spent with her seven grandchildren: Krista (JD) Davenport of San Antonio, TX; Katie of Sanger, TX; Jessica (Rob) Pardee of Grafton, OH; Cody (Mary) of Vermilion, OH; and Conor, Quinn and Colleen of Barrington, IL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orland; her parents Jesse and Marguerite (Perfect) Botkin and her two brothers William and Bruce.
Family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, 642 Main St., Urbana. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Urbana Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution or the Urbana United Methodist Church.
