Byron, GA – Marjorie Stuart, 89, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 21, 2017.

Marjorie was born on May 1, 1928 in the Columbus, Ohio area to the late Roscoe Conklin Parker and Helen Rose Black Parker. She was preceded in death by her first husband of 45 years, Howard Vaughan Shultz; her second husband, Richard Harold Stuart of 15 years; her daughter, Lisa Munsel; and her sister, Virginia Marie Parker.

Marjorie was a successful businesswoman for many years, owner of a cosmetic studio, and later a ceramic studio. She was a talented and productive artist and art instructor throughout her life. In a newspaper interview, she was once quoted, “Anything beautiful that you can create – I just love to do it.” Of all of her artistic accomplishments, Marjorie was most proud of the porcelain Portrait Dolls that she hand-sculpted.

She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Warner Robins. Marjorie was also a member of the Newcomers Club and enjoyed playing in their Bridge Group for many years.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her children, David Shultz (Dorothy), Kenneth Shultz (Ann), Diane Childress (David), Patricia Scarlata, Vinnie Osborne (James), and Melonie Jumper; brother, Alan Parker (Mary Lou); sister, Janet Woodruff (William); 13 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at McCullough Funeral Home on Monday, September 25, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. On Wednesday, September 27, 2017, the family will receive visitors at Walter and Lewis Funeral Home in Urbana, Ohio from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Mrs. Stuart will finally be laid to rest next to her first husband, Howard, in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery in Champaign County, Ohio at 2:30 p.m.
