Loretta Jo Grimes

Loretta Jo Grimes, 66, of Urbana, died at 1:15 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 in Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield. She was born on September 16, 1947 in Dayton, OH, the daughter of Charles N. and Julia E. (Flanigan) Caudy. Loretta retired as a home health giver and from cooking at Millners. She enjoyed her church, cooking, making jewelry, as well as spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and all of her extended family and church family. Survivors include a son, Jerry Allen Carroll and Ondalee Goings of Urbana; daughters, Donna Kay Carroll and Christina Tomlin, both of Urbana; brothers, Michael D.N. Caudy of Urbana and Steve B. Caudy of Springhills, FL; grandchildren, Tabbetha Yvonne Lay and Sara Brooke Lay; and great-grandson, Xzavier Ray K. Ferrell. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandson David Raymond Lay. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 6, 2013 at Life-Net Christian Fellowship, 142 Dellinger Road, Urbana, with Pastor Chris Livingston officiating.
