Linda Sue Rose

Linda Sue Rose age 74 of Urbana passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 19, 1950 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Edward and Mary (Hutchins) Huffman. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, William A. Rose and her siblings: Janet Edmond, Ralph Huffman and Ronnie Huffman. She leaves behind her children: Tammy (Doug Oryl) Roark and David (Christy) Rose; grandchildren: Christopher Borders, Daniel Hay Jr., Christian (Moriah) Roark, Kaylee Smith, Hanna Boltenhouse, Alexander Miller, and Addison Pescosolido. Linda is also survived by her siblings: Evelyn Heater, Rita (Bob) Miller, Orma Jean Spellman and Judy Miller; sister-in-law, Elaine (Jeff) Bodey as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Linda retired from Honeywell Manufacturing after 40 years of dedicated service. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, watching hummingbirds, and listening to the Gaithers. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling, playing softball, fishing and tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at Walter & Lewis Funeral Home from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Barely Used Pets in Linda's honor.
