Linda Kay Jenkins

Linda Kay (Markin) Jenkins, 81 of Urbana, passed away on May 29, 2023 in West Liberty, Ohio. She was born on August 7, 1941 in Champaign County, Ohio to the late Donald and Ruth (Cotrell) Markin. Linda is survived by her loving husband, Carl Jenkins Jr., daughter, Shawna (Butch) Suchland, son, Chris (Jeanette) Jenkins, grandchildren, AJ (Cassidy), Joshua, Meghan, Cassondra, Chelsea (Cody), and Ryan (Courtney), great-grandchildren, Adalyn, Owen, Norah, Alivia, Hunter, Laila, Christopher, Avery, Adyen, Layne, Liliana, Lexi, and Luke, siblings, Candace Patrick and James (Jackie) Markin, and nieces and nephews, Kristen, Creighton, Jordan, Daniel, Andrew, and Teri. Some of Linda’s favorite hobbies were bowling and crocheting. Overall, the most important thing to her was her family, especially her grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the Kingscreek Baptist Church, 1250 Kennard-Kingscreek Rd. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the church, officiated by Pastor Ralph Sampson. Linda will be laid to rest at Kings Creek Cemetery immediately following the funeral service.
