Leslie Wayne Burden

BURDEN, Leslie W., age 71 of Cape Coral, Florida died on Saturday, February 10, 2018 due to a motorcycle accident. He was born on October 25, 1946 to the late Harold and B. Maxine (Adkins) Burden in Urbana, Ohio. Leslie is survived by his three children, Dominic (Pam) Burden, Jessica (Bill) Riley and Josette (Clark) Carroll; eleven grandchildren: Brittany (Kyle) Lookabaugh, Zackery Burden, Krista (Mark) Nelson, Cody Rosebery, Storm Rodgers, Angel (Patrick) Starr, Olivia Riley, Bridgette (Joe) Depugh, Brandee Riley, Robbee (Sydney) Wallace and Hunter Carroll; nine great-grandchildren: Baylie, Mason, Ethan and Riley Lookabaugh, Annabeth Nelson, Jake, Adam, and Reid Starr and Flint Wallace. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Karen Burden and brother, Danny Burden. Leslie was a veteran of the armed forces. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the VFW and Moose Lodge. Leslie retired in 2006 from the Teamsters Union after traveling all over the US as a truck driver. He moved to Florida immediately after retirement where he enjoyed hanging out at the beach and riding his beloved purple Harley Davidson. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana with his funeral immediately following at 1:00 p.m. Burial at Oak Dale Cemetery.
