Lee Elizabeth Colbert

Lee Elizabeth Colbert, 73, of Urbana, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 after a blessed life. Lee was a loving mother, friend and nurse. Her capacity to love and dedication to family, friends and friends who became family should be an inspiration to all.

Lee was born in Urbana, Ohio on May 21, 1949 to William and Cleta (Bette) Colbert.

Lee was preceded in death by her parents, William and Cleta (Bette) Colbert and her brother, Clark Colbert. Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Heather Boydston. She also leaves behind her beloved dogs, Gracie and Scout, and her cats Huey, Dewey and Louie.

Lee graduated from Urbana High School in 1967. She graduated from Community Hospital School of Nursing in Springfield, Ohio in 1983. During her career, Lee worked as a caring nurse at Community Hospital, Springfield, Ohio, Ohio State University Hospital, Columbus, Ohio, Mary Rutan Hospital, Bellefontaine, Ohio and Mcauley Center, Urbana, Ohio, as well as a number of dialysis facilities. Lee was many things to many people, but at her best she loved selflessly dedicating herself to making others feel special. She was a member of the Urbana United Methodist Church.

Lee loved her friends and enjoyed swimming in the ocean or lake whenever possible. She was a Browns and OSU football fan and tried not to miss a game. She treasured her trips to Virginia, Hilton Head, Arizona, Las Vegas and Mexico.

The family wishes to express special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors at Riverside Hospital in Columbus for their exceptional love and care, as well as special friends, Eric and Tamara Jones, Steve and Barbara Horn, Teresa and Mike Brown, Phil (Judy Page) Hisnae as well as Heather's brother, Craig (Thais) Boydston.

The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, January 8, 2023 from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. in Walter & Lewis Funeral Home, Urbana, OH. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.walterfunerals.com.
