Leah May Moody (nee Titlow), also known as Clancy, peacefully passed away on her 75th birthday on December 26, 2023, in Urbana, Ohio. She was a devoted wife, esteemed woodcrafter, and a beloved pillar of her community.
Clancy is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Dora Titlow, her brothers Harold Metcalf and Charles Titlow, and her aunt Leah Reece. Clancy is survived by her loving husband, Jonathon, and her cherished children, Charles and Amanda. She was a doting grandmother and reveled in the joy that her great-grandchildren brought to her life. She also cherished spending time with her childhood friend, Soni Avey, whom she had shared this sisterhood since the second grade.
In addition to her family, Clancy was an active member of her community, serving as a dedicated board member of the Champaign County Friends of the Library for nearly a decade. Her commitment to literacy and knowledge made a lasting impact, and her contributions will be remembered fondly by those who shared in her passion for literature.
As a testament to her unwavering principles, Clancy was deeply involved in the Champaign County Democratic Society, where she actively advocated for progress and positive change in her community. She also was an active member of the Champaign County Historical Society. Leah's dedication to these organizations showcased her passion for education, community, and history.
Clancy Moody touched the lives of many with her unwavering love, dedication, and warmth. Her memory will forever be etched in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known her.
