Kathy A. Spires

Kathy A. Spires, 58, of Urbana died Friday, September 7, 2012 in her home. She was born October 17, 1953, a daughter of Richard and Phyllis Spires. Kathy was a graduate of Urbana High School, received an associate’s degree from Clark State Community College, and worked for Assurant Group. She loved scrap booking, going to garage sales and her cats. Survivors include, son Jesse and wife Amanda Spires of Urbana, her parents of Urbana, one grandson Daniel McKenzie, and brother Richard Spires Jr. of Springfield. She was preceded in death by her sister, Joetta Spires. The family will receive friends from 11:30 A.M.-1:30 P.M. Friday, September 14, 2012 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where the funeral will be held at 1:30 P.M. Burial will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Urbana.
