Kathryn Jeanette Thornburg

THORNBURG, Kathryn Jeanette, age 90 of Urbana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 7, 2024. She was born on February 14, 1934 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Paul M. and Nancy K. (Batton) Ervin. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her loving husband of nearly 70 years, Charles Edward Thornburg; daughter, Joy Blevins; brother, Rick (Regina) Ervin and brother-in-law, Art Shaffner. Jeanette leaves behind to forever cherish her memory, children: Cindy J. Cozad, Gary C. Thornburg, Jeffrey D. Thornburg, Steve W. (Denise) Thornburg; son-in-law, Bruce Blevins; sister, Margaret H. Shaffner; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild as well as numerous nieces, nephews, close friends and church family. Jeanette retired from Grimes Manufacturing after many devoted years and enjoyed her time volunteering at the Sycamore House Pregnancy & Family Life Center. She was a dedicated prayer warrior and loved spending her Sundays at LifeNet Fellowship. Jeanette also enjoyed knitting, crocheting and oil painting in her free time. She will be greatly missed by those who knew her. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at LifeNet Fellowship with the celebration of her life service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Pastor Justin Raines officiating.
