Karen Sue Mckeever

Karen Sue McKeever, 64, of Urbana, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 in OSU Medical Center, Columbus.
She was born on January 18, 1952 in Springfield, OH, a daughter of Jack and Virginia (Grace) McKeever. A 1970 graduate of Urbana High School, Karen was a Real Estate agent/broker, managed McKeever Mobile Homes and also clerked for auctioneer Merlin Woodruff for more than 30 years. Karen was also the volunteer president of PAWS Animal Shelter for many years.
Karen loved animals, especially horses and dogs, and was active in 4-H with horses. She was a friend to all animals and people and has been described as the nicest and sweetest person you’d ever met.
Survivors include a brother, Bill McKeever (Gloria Marotti) of Urbana; a sister, Julie (Andy) Monnin of Piqua; nephews, Brett McKeever (Tia Engle) of Urbana and Stephen Monnin of Piqua; a niece, Grace Monnin of Piqua; and many close friends as well as special relatives in Baltimore, MD, Buffalo, NY, Springfield, OH and Urbana, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents and uncle, Richard Grace.
Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Monday, September 5, 2016 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the St. Mary Catholic Church, Urbana. Burial will following in Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana.
