Karen Dixon

Karen Dixon, 74, of Urbana, Ohio passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 15th, 2025. 

She was born June 30th, 1950 to Walter and Deryl (Maynard) Dixon. Karen graduated from Mechanicsburg High School in 1968. She retired from Speedway Corporate Offices. Her love of travel began at 19 years old when she traveled by herself to Spain. She loved to travel with her best friends and her sister, Rita. Together, she and her sister traveled to a total of 41 states including, Hawaii, Alaska, as well as, Mexico, the Caribbean, Italy, and Canada. 

Karen is survived by her nieces and nephews, Tamara (Mike) Cantrell, Timothy (Brenda) Taylor, Steven (Jodi) Taylor, Mike (Julon) Dixon, Jill (Tom) Culp, and Shelly Dixon, her great nieces and nephews, her great-great nieces and nephews, and her best friends. She enjoyed a special bond with her great nieces Meghan DeMariano and Sarah Chandler and their kids Jack, Gabby, Charlie, and Ellie. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister and brother-in-law, Rita and Charles Taylor, and brother and sister-in-law, Gale and Brenda Dixon.
