Judith Ann Layne

Judith Ann Layne, age 74, of Urbana, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Hearth and Home of Urbana. Judy was born to the late Earl and Rita (Espy) Kuhbander on July 3, 1942 in Dayton, Ohio. She worked for many years as a cashier and greeter at the Walmart in Urbana. She had an ornery and tenacious character about her. She loved her cats, and loved watching hummingbirds. She will be dearly missed by her Walmart family, as well as all those who knew her.
Judy leaves behind two daughters, Wendy Sue Poland, and Amber Lynn (Michael) Loverde; one son, David Christopher Layne; five grandchildren, Sean Corey Webb, Morgan and Taylor Loverde, Chase and Kierra Poland; one great-grandson, Carter Poland; one sister, Karen (Dan) Metzler, as well as two special friends, Eleanor McGinnis and Emily McGowan.
Along with her parents, Judy was preceded in death by a grandson, Vincent Michael Loverde, and one granddaughter, McKenna Madison Poland.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME (642 S. Main St. Urbana, OH 43078) where a funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 11 a.m. with Randy Reed officiating. The family would like to especially thank all those who cared for her at Hearth and Home, and Kindred Hospice.
