Juanita June Salyers

Juanita June Salyers, 84, of Urbana, died at 2:30 A. M., Saturday, October 12, 2013 in Vancrest of Urbana. She was born May 29, 1929, in Peebles, OH, a daughter of Cash & Iva Mae (Scott) Frost. Juanita, a 1947 Urbana High School graduate, retired from Grimes Manufacturing having worked there 35 years. She was a member of the Urbana Church of Christ In Christian Union. Survivors include her daughter Barbara (Blanton) Callison of St. Paris; a granddaughter, Beth (Nathan) Parke of St. Paris; 3 great grandchildren, Ben, Ella & Lily Parke, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Ernest Blanton, father of her children, and second husband, Jack Salyers in 1997; daughters Peggy Anne Blanton, Penny Sue Blanton; sisters, Grace Baldwin, Edna McNeilan, Lydia Marshall, Helen Willhite, Icie Tomblin, Elsie Hixson, Jean Shafer; brothers, Cash Bud Frost, Jr., Elvis Frost, Floyd Frost and Elmer Frost. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 P.M. on Thursday, October, 17, 2013 in the Urbana Church of Christ In Christian Union, 1101 N. Main St., Urbana, OH, where a Memorial Service will be held immediately following at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Tom Amlin officiating. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Urbana Church of Christ in Christian Union Building Fund or to the Vancrest Rehabilitation Unit, 2380 US 68 South, Urbana, OH 43078.
