Jessie Marie Alltop

Jessie Marie Alltop went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on October 3, 2015. She was born June 27, 1916 in Proctorville, Ohio to Shirley and Ethel Roberts. She retired after 26 years of service from A.O. Smith in Tipp City, Ohio. She married Oris L. Alltop on January 30, 1935. She is survived by two sons, Harry M. (Darlene) of Urbana, and Dale L. (Jean), of New Carlisle; 8 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren. Surviving also, is a sister, Paulina Napier of Florida, and a brother Mack (Judith) Roberts of Foley, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson Lance, and a sister, Louise Christian. Jessie loved Nascar and the Cincinnati Reds. She was known for her beautiful crocheted afghans. Jessie was a life-long Christian. She accepted Christ at the age of 10 at EUB Church in Southern Ohio. She was a past member and treasurer of Freewill Baptist Church in New Carlisle and presently a member of Greater Life Apostolic Church in Springfield, Ohio. God and family were the two great loves of her life. She believed if you lived the life that was pleasing to God, there wasnt anything He wouldnt do for you. He proved that many times down through her life. Now that God has called her home, she will be missed. But we all know where she is. One day the family circle will be completed, when we all get home. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 from 5 p.m. 7 p.m. in the WALTER & STOWE FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 12 p.m. also in the funeral home, with Pastor Paul Dowdy officiating. Burial to follow at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Champaign County Right to Life (122 Miami St. Urbana, OH 43078) or to the Greater Life Apostolic Church (200 Snyder St. Springfield, OH 45504).
