Jerold Arnold "Jerry" Jacobs

OBITUARY FOR JEROLD ARNOLD JERRY JACOBS Jerold Arnold Jerry Jacobs, 86, of Mechanicsburg, died at 2:45 A.M., Sunday, September 28, 2014 in his residence. He was born July 5, 1928, in Champaign County, OH, a son of Ferman and Gladys (Newland) Jacobs. He worked for Hudson Garage, Acme Spring, several car dealers and retiring from T & M Bear Alignment in 1990. Jerry, a life member of the ATA and Clark County Sportsman Club loved being with his wife and grandchildren on vacations, his many dogs, and working on anything mechanical especially vehicles and he was an avid hunter, fisherman and trap shooter. Survivors include his wife of 48 ½ years, Shirley (Brown) Jacobs; daughter, Bonita L. Allison of FL; grandchildren Carrie (Robert) Brown of FL, Kevin (Nicki) Allison of Jamestown, Krista (Clarence) Bucaro of New York; great granddaughters, Erica Slusher of FL, Emily Allison-Cotta, Ellianna Allison-Lopez of FL: great grandsons Jon Michael Jacob Allison, William Jack Allison both of Jamestown, Brooke and Taj Bucaro of New York; great great- granddaughter Adalee Rose Slusher of FL; brother Omar Jacobs of Urbana; sister Irma (Lee) Hengel of Medway; sister-in-law Mary Northup of OH; brother-in-law Melvin Brown of OH and several nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, great grandson Jacob Slusher; brother Gail; sisters-in-law Myrtle Jacobs, Betty Jacobs, Joan Albright and brother-in-law Marvin Brown. As Jerry requested, there will be no services and the family is being served by the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, OH.
