James E. "Jim" Jenkins

James E. Jim Jenkins, 63, of Urbana, died at 7:28 a.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015 in Springfield Regional Medical Center, Springfield. He was born on April 3, 1951 in Urbana, OH and was an U.S. Army Vietnam veteran. He previously worked at Evenflo, Rittal and Orbis. Survivors include his mother, Maxine (Rice) Jenkins McDonald of Urbana; significant other, Teresa Hutton of Urbana; daughters, Kellie Jenkins and Jamie Jenkins, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild, all of OK; sisters, Joyce (Vernon) Slone of Urbana and Kathy Hildreth (Donald Routt) of Urbana; and wife, Mary (Heminger) Jenkins of Urbana. He was preceded in death by his father, Sherman E. Jenkins. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Oak Dale Cemetery Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Jay Williams officiating.
