Helen Sylvia Webster, 94, of Urbana, ended this life peacefully on Saturday, April 11, 2015 in Maria Joseph Center, Dayton. She was born on December 20, 1920 in Williamston, S.C., the daughter of George C. and Mary (Sizer) Royal. Helen graduated from Caroline High School, Williamstown, S.C. in 1937 and Claflin College, Orangeburg, S.C. in 1941. She taught for a short period of time and later graduated from nursing school. Helen lived most of her adult life in San Mateo, CA. She did private duty, hospital and nursing home care for many years, retiring from Heartland of Urbana at the age of 80. Helen loved to cook and care for her flowers. Survivors include her niece, Anita (Bruce) Ladd of Clayton; sister, Ruby (Harry) Hunter, currently of Newport News, VA; brothers, George C. (Sylvia) Royal Jr. of Washington, DC, William T. (Rosemary) Royal of Los Angeles, CA and Johnny (Ruth) Royal of Columbus, OH. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Warren Webster; sisters, Mary M. (Emory) Bonner, Jennie (Charlie) Saxon and Elinor Wilson; and a brother, James Royal. Family and friends may gather beginning at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the WALTER & SMITH FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, where a memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Urbana-Champaign County Senior Center, 701 S.
