Harold E. Wood

Harold E. Wood Jr., 64, of Urbana, went home to be with his Lord on January 31, 2016 in his residence. He was born on March 8, 1951 in Urbana, OH, a son of Harold E. Wood Sr. and Dixie (Saylor) Wood. Harold was a 1969 graduate of Graham High School and worked for over 20 years for Lutheran Works/Messiah Community. He enjoyed the casino and Bingo. Harold had a big heart and enjoyed all the little kids in his life. Survivors include a sister, Bobbi Geuy of Urbana; special friends, Michael and Janice Stokes of Urbana and their children, who affectionately called him Uncle Harold, David Stokes (Megan Stout) of Cambridge, Samantha (Nate) Wilson of ND and children Miranda, Logan and Wilson, and Rebecca Stokes (Josh Best) of Urbana and their children Natalee and Allison Best; nieces, Kristie West of Urbana and Tammy Mullins of WV; nephew, Paul Geuy of Columbus; great-nieces, Lorissa Haddix (Daniel) of Marysville and Savannah Mullins of WV; great-nephew, Bradley West of Springfield; and great, great-niece, Khloe Haddix of Marysville. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Virginia Bennett; and special friend, Roger L. Stokes. The family wishes to express a special thank you to Rebecca Stokes for her love and care of Harold. A graveside service will be held at Oak Dale Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016.
