Goldie Ellsworth

Goldie Ellsworth, 92, of Urbana, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 in Vancrest of Urbana.
She was born on July 23, 1926 in Woodstock, OH, a daughter of Truman and Mildred (Southard) Ellsworth. Goldie was a 1944 graduate of Woodstock High School and attended Urbana Junior College. She was employed 35 years for Dr. Isador Miller until he retired. She then worked 26 years with Dr. Jae Koh and retired at age 80.
Goldie loved growing roses, spending time at Indian Lake with family and watching the Cincinnati Reds on TV. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Senior Citizens Center.
She is survived by a niece, Rose Mary (Schneider) Pratt and her sons, Joshua William of Canal Winchester, OH and Matthew Anthony of Columbus, OH; grandnephew, Todd Michael (Lisa) Pratt and their sons, Brandon Dooley (daughter Aria Dooley), Tyler Michael of Greenville, OH and daughter Ashley Marie of Urbana, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Helen Louise (husband John William) Pratt; and nephew, Larry E. Pratt.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, 2018 and 10-11 a.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 in the WALTER & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, Urbana, followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Woodstock Cemetery.
